Follow These Simple Steps to Install Your SlickeSIM on iPhone

Alright, now that you’ve bought your SlickeSIM, the next step is installing it on your iPhone. Below is a step-by-step guide to set up your eSIM in minutes. Let’s dive in.

Tap “Install eSIM.’’

Open the Slick app and log in to your account. Tap “eSIM” to view your purchased eSIMs. Next, tap “Inactive” to see your inactive eSIMs. Choose the eSIM you want to activate, then tap “Install eSIM” to start the installation.

Choose Your Installation Method

You have three ways to install it:

1. Direct 
2. QR Code
3. Manual

Direct Install

• To install the eSIM without scanning a QR code or manually entering your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code, tap “Direct.” 
• Then, hit the “Install Now” button. This begins the installation process. Your iPhone will now start installing the SlickeSIM in the background.
• Tap “Continue” to give your phone permission to install your eSIM.
• Your iPhone will now install the eSIM. Don’t worry if the screen takes a moment. This is normal.

• You’ll See a Message: “Cellular Setup Complete.” Once you see this, you’re all set. Your new eSIM is now inside your iPhone, ready for setup. Tap “done” to complete the rest of the installation process. 
• When you add a new eSIM, your phone asks you to label it. This helps you tell it apart from your main SIM. Tap “Secondary” (the default name). Then, type something like “SlickeSIM,” and hit “Done.” 
• After this, tap “Continue” to move forward.
• Your phone now asks which SIM to use for calls and text messages by default. Select “Primary.” This means your usual SIM will stay in charge of voice calls and SMS.
• Next, your iPhone asks which number to use for iMessage and FaceTime. Again, choose Primary and tap “Continue.” This keeps all your messages and FaceTime calls running through your usual number.
• Now it’s time to pick which SIM to use for the internet. Choose your new SlickeSIM for Cellular Data. Setting SlickeSIM as the default data line ensures you’re using your prepaid data plan, not your home SIM. 
• Turn OFF “Allow Data Switching.” Then, tap “Continue.” Turning off data switching is your safety net against surprise roaming charges. Always double-check this one.

QR Code:

• To install your eSIM via scanning the QR code, tap “QR Code” in the app.
• Scan your eSIM QR code (either from your printed copy or another device).
• After scanning, tap “Continue” and then “Done.”
• Tap the new eSIM to rename it, and set the name as SlickeSIM.
• Once renamed, tap “Done,” then “Continue.”
• Set your Primary SIM as the Default Line and tap “Continue.”
• Set your Primary SIM for iMessage & FaceTime and tap “Continue.”
• For Cellular Data, choose your new SlickeSIM. 
• Make sure to turn OFF “Allow Data Switching.” Then tap “Continue.”

Manual:

In this method, you need to manually enter your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code in your phone’s settings. 

• To begin the setup, tap “Manual” in the app. You’ll then see your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code. Copy them and move to the next step below.
• Now, go to your phone’s settings and tap “Cellular.” 
• After that, choose “Add Cellular/Mobile Plan.” 
• Next, tap “Enter Details Manually,” then paste your SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code. 
• Tap “Next,” then tap “Continue” twice and wait a moment. Your eSIM will connect to the network (this can take a few minutes). 
• Once done, tap “Done.”
• Pick a label for your new eSIM plan.
• Select “Primary” as your default line, then tap “Continue.”
• Choose “Primary” for iMessage and FaceTime with your Apple ID, then tap “Continue.”
• Finally, select your new eSIM plan for mobile data, and tap “Continue.”

Don’t Forget This Step: Enable Your eSIM and Data Roaming

You’ve installed your eSIM. But it’s not ready to work its magic just yet. You must enable your new eSIM and data roaming so your phone knows, “Hey, use this eSIM for internet when I travel.” Otherwise, you won’t be able to use the internet abroad, even if eSIM is installed.

Tap “Cellular” in Settings

In your iPhone’s settings, tap “Cellular.” This is where your phone stores all the SIMs.

Find and Choose Your New SlickeSIM

You’ll see your new SlickeSIM listed there. Find it and tap to open its settings.

Turn ON “This Line.”

Toggle ON “Turn On This Line.” This is the on-switch for your SlickeSIM. Now, your new eSIM is enabled. But you must also enable data roaming to stay connected abroad.

Turn ON “Data Roaming.”

On the same screen, find “Data Roaming” and turn it ON. This way, you’ve told your iPhone that “I’m okay with using mobile data when I’m not at home.”

Track Your eSIM Data
